RAFAEL ALUN: SALDO REKENING NIHIL, EKSPRES PENDAPATAN LAIN TAK BISA DISITA
FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Rafael Alun claimed that his current wealth has been seized by law enforcers. He even stated that the balance in all of his accounts is now zero rupiah.
The former tax official conveyed this during a trial at the Corruption Court of the Central Jakarta District Court on Monday (27/11/2023).
In response to this, former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator Yudi Purnomo Harahap spoke out. He does not believe that Rafael Alun is now impoverished. He called it a drama.
“Drakor, it’s impossible to be poor,” Yudi said as quoted from his post on X, Wednesday (29/11/2023).
He explained that corruption suspects are only seized of assets related to the money from their corruption. Anything else is not seized.
“Remember, corruption perpetrators can only be subject to asset confiscation for the money from corruption that they enjoyed and has been proven by investigators & the Public Prosecutor,” he explained.
Meanwhile, salary or other accountable income cannot be seized.
“Is all his money from corruption? There is no certainty from official salary/clear sources,” he clarified. (Arya/Fajar)
