Jakarta – Presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto congratulated the Indonesian national football team on their success in reaching the round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup.
This was conveyed by Prabowo when attending an open campaign themed Indonesian Youth Voices for Prabowo-Gibran at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Saturday (27/1).
Indonesia, continued Prabowo, for the first time in many years, managed to make history after securing a ticket to advance to the round of 16 in the 2023 Asian Cup.
“And for the first time in many years, Indonesia entered the final 16 of the Asian Cup,” said Prabowo.
He also invited the public to continue to support the Indonesian national team players. Moreover, the next match will be against Australia. “If I’m not mistaken, tomorrow will compete against Australia. We pray we will make a surprise. But whatever happens, we support our national team,” he said.
